Our primary business is auto recycling, which is the recovery and resale of OEM parts, components and systems.
As a human resources administrator, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of workers' compensation claims and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
This position plays a critical role in maintaining a safe and healthy workplace and administrating HR duties related to workers' compensation.
Responsibilities:
Workers Comp Oversee the processing of workers' comp claims from initial report to closure.
Liaise with healthcare providers and insurance adjusters to manage treatment and claims.
Coordinate and monitor rehabilitation or return-to-work programs.
Analyze trends in claims and develop strategies to reduce injury rates and associated costs.
Administrative Maintain detailed records of incidents, treatments, and outcomes for reporting purposes.
Ensure all workers' compensation documentation is accurately completed and filed.
Assist with the preparation and management of workers' comp hearings, mediations, and other proceedings.
Provide administrative support to HR team in relation to compensation and benefits issues arising from workers' comp claims.
Compliance Ensure compliance with all applicable workers' compensation laws and regulations.
Stay updated on changes in legislation that affect workers' compensation and employee rights.
Prepare and submit regulatory reports and documents as required by law.
Safety Assist in the development and implementation of workplace safety programs and initiatives.
Conduct safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards.
Participate in the development of job risk analyses and ergonomic assessments.
Promote a culture of safety and ensure employee awareness of safety practices.
OSHA Logs Accurately maintain and update OSHA logs for workplace injuries and incidents.
Ensure timely reporting of severe incidents to OSHA as required.
Analyze OSHA logs to identify trends and areas for safety improvements.
Assist with OSHA inspections and respond to inquiries.
Hiring Requirements:
Minimum of 1
years of experience in a workers' compensation focused function.
Understanding of workers' compensation laws and procedures.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
